The Co-op is organising a donation of Easter eggs for key health workers and their patients - and Macclesfield residents and Co-op members have been invited to donate.
Amid the cost of living crisis and a challenging past few years for healthcare workers, the Co-op is hoping to show appreciation of some of Macclesfield's hardest workers with free chocolate.
East Cheshire Hospice, the charity and care centre for those afflicted with life-limiting illnesses, will be one of three causes to benefit. As well as the Millbank Drive palliative care centre, two other Macclesfield causes will benefit.
The Christie Macclesfield, which opened in late 2021, will receive these egg-stra special donations, as will Macclesfield Hospital, located near to the West Park Co-op.
If you would like to donate an Easter egg to patients and key workers at one of the three venues, just buy an Easter Egg at any Co-op store, and say you want to donate it to the Co-op Easter egg donation drive.
From Bollington Co-op to Prestbury, Westmorland Close and Ivymeade, all Co-op stores in Macclesfield are collecting Easter eggs.
You can donate your eggs from today, March 12 2024, to Tuesday March 26 2024.
Please note, the deadline is three days before Friday, but that means the eggs can get to everyone on time. So should you wish to take part, get those eggs in early!
Last year, over 300 Easter Eggs were donated this way, with kids on the children's ward of Macclesfield Hospital being particularly grateful.
