A grateful woman from Macclesfield has raised over a £1,000 in cash for the hospital unit which saved her life.
Bollington resident June Jackson has completed a skydive to raise money for University Hospitals of North Midlands Charity.
The Prestbury Co-op employee plunged through the skies at the weekend, almost three-and-a-half years after she had life-saving heart surgery at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
It was quite the relief for June, who had the skydive postponed multiple times since May due to bad weather.
Speaking to Macclesfield Nub News, June described it as "A truly brilliant experience."
"The best bit was after the parachute came up, and you were able to see everything."
June has raised an incredible £1,120 for the charity which helps to raise funds for the department (and doctors) which treated her in April 2020.
And it is not too late to donate, you can do so by clicking on this link.
June has worked at the Co-op for almost six years, at stores across Macclesfield, Bollington and Prestbury.
