We are just days away from Cheshire's number one family festival taking place in Macclesfield.

Macclesfield Family Festival is Macclesfield Nub News' Event of the Week, which promises to be a celebration of all-ages fun.

The one-day show is set to be an epic outdoor event, for which the weather forecast is currently looking hot and sunny.

It'll take place on August 14 2021 from 12:00pm until 12:00am. Please note, last entry is four hours prior to closure.

The concert will be held at at Macclesfield Rugby Club's Priory Park, on Priory Lane.

The Macclesfield event will welcome Madchester music legends, and tribute bands to some of our area's finest bands.

Clint Boon of the Inspiral Carpets will get you dancing. Bez and Rowetta of the Happy Mondays will also be DJing.

There will be a tribute to The Stone Roses, of which their former member John Squire lives in Macclesfield.

Tribute acts to Oasis, The Smiths, and Courteeners will also perform.

Fans of the Leicester-band Kasabian can also see their songs performed in Macclesfield by the act Kazabian.

There are also tributes to the Happy Mondays and the Carpets, who will also have original members at the event in separate performances.

For the kids, there are pony rides, inflatables, cosplayers and a funfair.

There's also a funky dance zone, bar and zorbing station to enjoy.
