Macclesfield: Family mourning after man in dies in Chester Road crash

Police appeal for information following fatal collision in Macclesfield

Officers are appealing for information and dashcam following a fatal collision in Macclesfield.

At around 7.10pm on Friday 1 October officers were called to Chester Road following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a mint green Fiat 500 and a red Volkswagen Polo.

Sadly, the pedestrian, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.

The Macclesfield male has not been named.

His next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specialist officers.

Both drivers stopped at the scene and did not sustain any injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has information or dashcam footage from their car is kindly asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1097984 or report it here.
