Macclesfield FC have revealed their sixteenth summer signing, and secured their first of July.
Aaron Dwyer, who is a Cheshire football journeyman, has agreed a contract of undisclosed length with The Silkmen.
He was previously on a trial period with the club, and while he didn't score, the attacker impressed in Monday's 3-2 win at New Mills.
This was despite the pressure of facing his former club, for which he was a regular goalscorer for.
Aaron played in the opening pre-season game at Church Lane, where Macc beat the High Peak club through Tom Clare and Finn Crofton goals.
The forward is raring to go for Macc's debut season in North West Counties Football League Premier Division, for which the fixtures are revealed tomorrow.
While Aaron's transfer is subject to ratification from the Football Association and aforementioned league, he may play a part in Macc's first pre-season home game against Ashton United on Saturday.
"Macclesfield FC are delighted to unveil our sixteenth summer signing, with the arrival of proven goalscorer Aaron Dwyer," said the club.
"Celebrating his 25th birthday today, Aaron arrives at the Leasing.com Stadium after an impressive trial period.
"In addition to his second half strike against Atherton LR last Saturday, Aaron looked a potent threat when he came on at New Mills and displayed energetic performances during both contests.
"Aaron is no stranger to the local non-league scene and has built up a reputation as being a deadly marksman in and around the area.
"Previously turning out for the likes of Cheadle Town, Stockport Town, Wythenshawe Town, Mossley and New Mills, it was with the latter that Aaron recorded twelve goals in eleven games during the 2018/19 campaign.
"We would like to formally welcome Aaron to the Leasing.com Stadium and wish him every success during his time with us."
The birthday-boy also played for Bury AFC.

Dwyer is the fifth striker to sign for our town's new football club, and he is the fourth Englishman to do so.
The only non-English striker is Portugese player Edy Maieco. You can read more about Aaron's potential strike partner here.
