Macclesfield FC have won an award for their performances in October.

The North West Counties Football League recognised our town's football club for their unbeaten month in October, which was also the one year anniversary of the club.

The club played six North West Counties Football League Premier Division games in October.

This included wins at home against Charnock Richard, Northwich Victoria, and Padiham.

They also saw an away win at by a goal to nil versus Wythenshawe Town.

They also drew in Blackpool in a goalless game playing Squire's Gate.

The month ended with a 3-1 win at Lower Breck.

Overall, the team scored 13 goals in October, letting just three goals in.

Including November's results, Macc are top of the table with 44 points from 20 games.

They will hope to win another NWCFL Premier Division Club of the Month Award as they push for promotion.

The NWCFL said: "Congratulations to all at Macclesfield FC on what is their first monthly award!"

Macclesfield FC said: "We were delighted to be presented with our NWCFL Premier Division Club of the Month Award at our last home game against Runcorn Town and can't wait to return on Sat 4th Dec when we entertain Barnoldswick Town!

They drew 0-0 with second place Skelmersdale United at the weekend.
