Macclesfield rocker Ben Gorb has released a new music video, and is celebrating over 5,000 streams of the single which soundtracks it.

Ben Gorb's new single No One Knows was released last month, and a video filmed near Macclesfield has just been released.

The strings-twinged rock anthem which has an orchestra outro echoing The Beatles and Oasis, now has a video filmed in the gorgeous Macc countryside parishes of Langley and Sutton.

The song which was penned to be about his long-distance relationship, has taken on a new meaning with the music video starring a Cheshire model as a runaway bride.

The three-minute film has already garnered over 1,400 views on YouTube.

It follows the success from Ben's music video for previous single Let The Music Play, which garnered over 4,600 views.

Ben Gorb (28), spoke to Macclesfield Nub News about the new vid for No One Knows.

"It is not what the song is about, like any music video, but the theme certainly keeps in line with the lyrics," said Ben.

"Like 'where she goes, no one will know'. And at the end of the video we don't know where she goes.

"We kept it local, and filmed on the Macclesfield Canal up there around Sutton and Langley.

"I only make a brief appearance in the video as the driver for the main star.

"The storyline even though it is very metaphorical I think it is very strong and there are a lot of great shots in there."

There was a conscious creative decision to not feature urban areas or technology.

This compliments the classical instrumentation beautifully interlaced into the song.

The video was directed and shot by Lorna McCoid at Little Attic Productions.

It stars local model Sophia Sparrow, who has over 7,000 followers on Instagram.

No One Knows is the first single taken from an EP which will launch with five tracks later this year.

It follows his 32-minute album Reflections, which dropped last year.

The Macclesfield music maestro has 1,500 people that listen to him every month on Spotify alone.

His past two singles currently have a combined total of 12,000 streams across the three big music streaming platforms.

We last spoke with Ben following the release of the 'No One Knows' single in early June.

You can view the video above, or listen to the track via Apple Music, Spotify, or Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Information for an EP launch gig will be posted online in due course.

Macclesfield residents can also book Ben to teach guitar lessons.

Ben's contact details are on his website.

Macclesfield Nub News congratulates Ben on the success of the new video.

The London-born musician moved to Macclesfield almost 25 years ago.

His next gig in town is at the The Swan With Two Necks.

He'll take the stage for Swanload 2021, on Saturday 28 August.
