Registered Charity Everybody Health and Leisure have launched their new Bump Boost Aquanatal classes at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

Everybody have invested in Bump Boost, which is designed to support pregnant women from 0-40 weeks to exercise at their own pace in the swimming pool, through a therapeutic personalised water based programme.

Bump Boost technology creates an individual, tailored, aqua natal programme around a customer's needs and preferences, being physically active during pregnancy brings huge health benefits, including:

  • Improves cardiovascular fitness
  • Helps manage pregnancy weight gain
  • Reduces risk of high blood pressure
  • Helps prevent gestational diabetes
  • Improves sleep
  • Improved mental wellbeing

There are two local sessions.

The first is on Tuesdays from 10.00am to 10.45am at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

The second is on Thursdays 10.00am to 10.45am at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

Donna Williamson, Senior Health Innovations Manager at Everybody Health and Leisure shares: "We are excited to launch Bump Boost classes in our leisure facilities, including Congleton Leisure Centre, Macclesfield Leisure Centre and Crewe Lifestyle Centre."

"Bump Boost is enabling us to support mums to be through this brand-new offer. A recent survey highlighted 64% of pregnant women or women with children under one year have experienced nervousness or anxiety related to physical activity.

"Our Everybody Healthy team are trained in Level 3 Pre and Postnatal Exercise and have completed additional Bump Boost training to provide a safe and quality service. We are here to support and provide advice if you are unsure of what to do giving you the confidence to be active."

Participants can follow the exercises individually in the swimming pool on a Bump Boost waterproof tablet as part of our self-hire option, or customers can join an instructor led session.

Booking is essential via the Everybody Healthy team for these classes as an induction is required.
