A pub near Macclesfield is celebrating Christmas early, with a selection of seasonal events.

The Ship Inn, an idyllic country pub that is over three centuries old, has announced its Christmas calendar.

And it will even be open on Christmas Day!

Christine Hartley is co-publican at The Ship Inn, having operated the pub with her partner Jim Hartley since spring 2023.

The pub is known for walkers, and its remote location. And during a time of year where families love to go for a big walk, the pub provides a welcome and warm space to recuperate this festive period. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

"The Christmas spirit was great at The Ship Inn Wincle last year, and it will be our second Christmas here in 2024," said Christine.

"Due to our remote but beautiful setting, we are a really unique location to book for your Christmas party.

"We have two Christmas party nights on December 14 and December 21.

"We will have great entertainment and a DJ for our two Christmas party nights. Expect plenty of mulled wine, mulled cider, and Christmas cocktails."
