A Macclesfield restaurant will be reopening and welcoming customers through their doors tonight.

Chilli Banana, on Buxton Road, will be open today (Wednesday) from 5pm.

The Thai restaurant team posted on social media: "We're thrilled to welcome you all back to the restaurant. We would like to reassure all our customers that the dining experience will still be at a high standard but a little different from the 'normal'.

"We're proud to be able to offer you our full A La Carte Menu, however, as we only have limited times and tables available, all menu offers have been suspended for the present time."

The new opening hours at the restaurant are:

- Monday: Closed

- Wednesday: 5pm to 9:30pm

- Friday: 5pm to 10pm

- Sunday: 5pm to 9:30pm

The restaurant's guidelines are:

- Pre bookings only, these can be made by phone, email or online, walk ins at this time are not allowed.

- The staff will need to take all the details of those that will be coming to the restaurant for Track and Trace reasons, these will be kept for 21 days.

- Maximum of six people per table.

- The restaurant has limited times and tables available, each reservation will be for one hour and 45 minutes.

- At this time there is no standing or ordering at the bar.

- Ordering by single use menu at the table - someone will come to the table to take your order at a social distance. Ordering App to be launched soon.

- Chilli Banana asks where possible for contactless payments only but they can except cash if needed.

- Outside tables are available to book for drinks only.

- It is advisable to order takeaways by the App than the phone at busy weekend periods.

The restaurant will be applying the following when open:

- Sanitisers will be available at the entrance and on all tables.

- All staff will be appropriately attired in line with PPE guidelines.

- All tables/chairs will be spaced out to social distancing guidelines and will be cleaned after each sitting.

- The toilets will be cleaned on a regular basis.
