One cat needing a home is Toby, a male domestic short haired cat just under two years old.

Toby is a handsome cat, but one who needs an experienced and understanding owner.

"He would suit a child free home," said RSPCA Macclesfield.

"One where he has company.

"Toby is not semi-feral, just lacking confidence and social skills.

"He needs avenues to burn off that teenage energy!

"In the meantime he'll need lots of enrichment, working toys and puzzles."

Waffle

One pup in need of a home is Waffle. Waffle is a crossbreed male who is 11 months old and needs an experienced owner.

Waffle came into the RSPCAs care along with his brother too

"Waffle is a bit different," said RSCPA Macclesfield.

"I held my camera to take his picture and he was, as it seems, convinced that a great cyclops had come to claim him; he curled himself closer into his handler, his friend, whom he knew and trusted, pushing his head underneath his arm and tenderly kissing at his cheek.

"His comparative lack of confidence does not, I assure you, imply that he's any less lovely than his brother"

A home with another dog is preferred.

Nero

18-month-old bunny Nero needs a new home, according to RSPCA Macclesfield.

A hopping friend in need of a loving home Is Nero the crossbreed Rabbit.

Nero was left abandoned to die, but has been given a second chance at life thanks to the RSPCA.

Nero is a male and is one-and-a-half years old. He seeks a rabbit wife, as well as a fur-ever home.

"He is a very nervous and will need a very patient home, "said RSPCA Macclesfield.

"You can win him round with food!

"But this handsome chap would love a family to call his own .

"He would suit a young child free home or with children over ten. He's looking for a wife-bun to settle down with and we are sure he's desperate to find his first ever love!".

Cassy

Cassy was rescued with several other dogs including puppies, one of which had to be euthanized and one had a leg amputated due to a severe injury.

Another doggy who needs a home is Cassy, a female Belgium shepherd.

The two-year-old pooch is said to be a lovely dog, high energy and very bright

"Cassy is very friendly but quite an anxious girl," said RSPCA Macclesfield.

"She absolutely loves her toys and is very toy oriented. She is very happy when playing with a toy and carrying a toy.

"Likes her food but prefers toys. Enjoys fuss and contact from people, she is also very good with her basic commands and will sit, give paw, lay down and stay. She was just kept in a filthy yard and hadn't had a good life at all.

"Shes looking for an experienced, adult only home with no other pets. A home which can provide her adequate and appropriate mental stimulation and physical exercise" the RSPCA

In the summer, the RSPCA they collect an abandoned animal every hour and they receive an extra 1000 calls to their emergency phone line.

Their calls have increased by 6.4% since 2020.
