Arrest made as investigation into sexual assault in Macclesfield continues

Investigations into an attack in Macclesfield are ongoing.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that a 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
This follows reports that a man was assaulted and sexually assaulted in the Churchill Way area of the town at around 1am on Tuesday, August 11.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he remained as of 6pm the following day.
Police have not yet shared an update on the status of the victim.
However, they have confirmed that 'enquiries remain ongoing' as of 4pm on Thursday, August 27.
Speaking earlier this month, Detective Inspector Claire Miles said: "An investigation is currently ongoing, and we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious or relevant in the area before or after it is believed to have occurred.
"We would also ask anyone who was driving in Macclesfield town centre between 10.40pm on Monday, August 10, and 1.10am on Tuesday, August 11, to please check their dashcam footage to see if anything relevant has been captured.
"This includes near to the Churchill Way and Sunderland Street area.
"Anyone with any concerns, or to report any information, should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or report online, quoting IML-2393346."
The 32-year-old man has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
