Teachers and pupils battle it out as Macclesfield school hosts its own version of The Traitors

A Macclesfield school held its own version of the BBC's hit reality competition, The Traitors.
A group of 37 pupils and teachers at Beech Hall School recently competed in a game of intrigue and deception, raising money for charity.
As with the popular programme, a team of 'Traitors' secretly worked to eliminate 'Faithful' contestants, while the Faithful tried to identify and banish them to secure the £465 prize pot.
The final proved dramatic, with year 10 pupils Seb Goford and Ed Heyworth making it to the last round alongside IT teacher Sam Thornton-West, who was ultimately declared the winner.
Left with the deciding vote, Seb trusted a previous alliance with Mr Thornton-West and chose to banish Ed, unknowingly saving Mr Thornton-West, who was revealed to be a Traitor.
Headmaster James Allen said: "37 began the game; alliances were formed and trusts broken; and we were delighted to celebrate Mr Thornton-West as the winner, with the prize funds being donated to the Alzheimer's Society."
He continued: "Weekly round table discussions, banishments and tasks were on the agenda for weeks, with traitors meeting with me every week online in the evening to strategise and to decide who is to be murdered that night.
"It is a really popular club for year 10 upwards and already year 9s are asking for us to run it for them next year.
"I would like to thank the 35 players who have contributed over the last five weeks, to my colleagues for their patience with overrunning tasks, to the Traitors for their devilish commitment and to the estates team for sourcing the increasingly complicated list of materials required each week."
