Bereaved families invited to come together and remember loved ones this Baby Loss Awareness Week

Bereaved families in Macclesfield have the chance to come together this Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Represented by its blue and pink ribbon logo, the week is a time for everyone in the baby loss community and beyond to come together and raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.
This image has been the inspiration to create ribbon displays up and down the UK, inviting those who have experienced loss to come together and remember their babies.
Louise Bullock, who is coordinating the display here in Macclesfield, said: "During Baby Loss Awareness Week, I wanted to create a special display to remember all the babies lost, whether recently or long ago. I hope it starts conversations.
"This will be the fourth year that we have held this display in Macclesfield. Each year sees more and more ribbons added and precious babies remembered.
"Sadly, pregnancy and baby loss affects parents and families across the UK every day and they may feel they are alone in their grief.
"I hope the display raises awareness and breaks the silence surrounding pregnancy and baby loss, it is impacting so many people in our local community."

Baby Loss Awareness Week is led by Sands, a charity that works to save babies' lives and support anyone affected by the death of a baby.
Colourful ribbons displaying the names of the babies being remembered will be added to the display on the railings of St Michael's Church in Market Place for all to see from Friday, October 9, and will remain in place until Thursday, October 15.
Bereaved families are invited to bring a ribbon of any colour, write their baby's name on it if they wish, and add it to the display.
Ribbons can be brought from home or can be collected from St Michael's foyer, where pens will also be provided.
If you would like to add a ribbon to the display but are unable to do so in person, please message Louise directly and she will arrange for your loved one's name to be added to a ribbon and included - [email protected].
Louise said: "The Macclesfield Ribbon Display would not be possible without the support of St Michael's Church for allowing us to hold our display on their grounds each year, Macclesfield Maternity Voices Partnership and Jim Kite for building our display.
"All money raised from the display will go to Sands, so they can continue to support families and reduce baby deaths, by investing in research and championing better maternity care."
