A pocket bully took in by RSPCA Macclesfield after some brutal injuries, has found a fur-ever home, one year after she was rescued from fire conditions.

Peggy is a female pocket bully that was neglected by her former owner, who received a prison sentence.

Peggy's story, as first reported by LiverpoolWorld, saw her rescued with "an untreated skin condition, a bilateral ear infection and a ten-day prolapse."

She was found in a flat, on a crate, with both the wood and her bedding covered in blood.

After the RSPCA rescued her in the Wirral, she was transferred to private accommodation, before a lengthy stint at RSPCA Macclesfield.

She then went into foster care in the Macclesfield area, but almost a year to the day that she was rescued from squalor, she has now found a permanent home.

RSPCA Macclesfield could not be happier for Peggy, and had this to say on the happy ending for the mistreated dog.

"Peggy is the happiest dog you will ever meet, she is very affectionate and loyal," said RSPCA Macclesfield.

"We are incredibly happy that she has now found her forever home to be loved and cared for the way she deserves, and are very grateful to her fosterer and our supporters for helping us make it possible to do that for her."

For the safety of the pupper, their new location or owner details has not been disclosed.
