Here's our look ahead of what there is to do in Macclesfield this weekend:

Charity Fundraiser

Macclesfield musicians are to come to fundraise for East Cheshire Hospice.

The Wychcraft Big Band will play the music of swing and jazz legends at the Broken Cross Club.

The event will take place on the evening of Friday April 19, get your tickets from Margin Music on Market Place.

Coming to Music@Mike's this Saturday...

Every week, there's a free concert at St.Michael's Church in the Market Place, Macclesfield.

This Saturday April 20 at 1.15 - 2pm will feature the drumming ensemble Karamba Bollington.

You may recognise them from having performed at the Treacle Market, just feet away from the church they will be performing in this Saturday lunchtime.

You can expect traditional Samba batucada pieces plus a range of drumming pieces involving a brass section and guitars.

The setlist features well-known songs played instrumentally alongside the samba drums. A lively afternoon is promised! Entry is free.

The event will also support good cause in Macclesfield. Donations to the East Cheshire Hospice and St.Michael's are welcomed.

The Angel At My Table cafe will be open for hot meals and light refreshments.

If you want even more live music in a church, The Prestbury Choral Society are also performing this weekend.

In Siddington

The three hour event can be booked on the link below.

Over at Capesthorne Hall, Janet Howkins will be hosting a botanical casting workshop experience.

The experience will begin with a short, guided walk around the grounds becoming one with nature, exploring the different seasonal plants and their unique shape, structure and textures.

You will then get hands-on with clay to mindfully learn the art of botanical casting. By the end of the experience you will have made your own unique memories at Capesthorne Hall, encapsulated within a beautiful botanical fragrance diffuser.

Over in Bollington

A Bollington plastic free shop are hosting a unique event this weekend. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

A one-of-a-kind event is being held upstairs at Rootstock, Palmerston Street, Bollington this Friday.

A class teaching fermentation skills will be held with the food educator Nordic Nutrition. A light dinner will be provided too.

Feed your brain and your mind, with this three hour event.

Friday evening, 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
