Bollington manufacturer secures new future in milestone year

A Bollington based gaskets and plastics manufacturer has completed a management buyout as it marks its 50th year in business.

Munsch & Co, who are based in Clarence Mill, have new owners in the year of their half-century anniversary.

Directors, Paul Gregory and Clive Marsh have successfully bought the shares of previous owners, Simon and Debbie Carless and are ready to embark on ambitious plans for the company.

Mr Gregory, who has been involved with the business since forming a subsidiary business with Munsch & Co in 2015 - Polymer Trade Manufacturing said "Innovation always pays off, whether that is in the manufacturing process or in business leadership.

"I'm excited to be taking this on with Clive and bringing a fresh approach to this well-established family firm."

New co-owner and Sales Director, Clive Marsh added "There is a strong market for high quality industrial rubber and sealing products, and this step secures a stronger future for our employees."

Christian Mancier, Partner of Gorvins Solicitors has been advising Paul Gregory for nearly 20 years and helped facilitate the sale said "I've been advising and working with Paul for many years and more recently with Clive, and it's a privilege to help them secure a new future, for themselves and for the business."

Munsch & Co was established 50 years ago in Bollington by Wilfred Charles Munsch and Terry Carless, acquiring Wrexham Rubber Fabricators and Moulders in 2007 before forming PTM in 2015.

Stockport Solicitor Christian Mancier helped seal the deal.
