Bosley: Drug raid arrests two in sleepy Macclesfield parish
More drugs are off Macclesfield streets, after an altercation in a village not known for drug crime.
The civil parish of Bosley, which has just over 400 residents, housed a property supplying drugs in and around our town.
Two men have on Monday 20 September have been arrested as part of a police investigation into the organised supply of illegal drugs in the Macclesfield area.
The pair, aged 28 and 38, were both arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs following a warrant at an address on Buxton Road, Bosley.
The drug duo are currently being held in police custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
During the raid officers recovered a quantity of Class A and B drugs.
No photos of the pair have been provided - however - they may be given after they face trial.
Following the warrant Sergeant Paul Brunton, of Congleton Beat Team, said: "Todays warrant is the culmination of a lengthy investigation into the supply of illegal drugs in the Macclesfield area and I hope it provides reassurance to local residents.
"Drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities, causing widespread misery. As such, cutting off supplies of illegal drugs and removing dealers from our streets is of paramount importance.
"As part of our efforts to bring those responsible to justice, we also need support from the local community.
"I would appeal to anyone who has any information about illegal drug activity or any other criminal activity taking place in their communities to contact us on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
While the specific drugs involved have not been revealed, Class A drugs are cocaine, ecstasy, heroin and LSD.
Class B drugs include cannabis, ketamine, and speed. However, the pair were not nicked for any quantity of Class B drugs found.
The Macclesfield criminals were both arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs only - and will be sentenced later this year.
