Macclesfield's LGBTQ+ coffee shop named best cafe in Cheshire

Cheshire's best café is right here in Macclesfield.
Yas Bean has been confirmed as one of the winners of the 2025 Cheshire Muddy Stilettos Awards.
The Buxton Road business overcame stiff competition to win the best café category and will now go through to the national finals.
Owners Mika Johnson and Dan Hardman said: "It's really special to win an award that was voted for by the general public.
"Our community is why we do what we do, so to get that recognition is lovely.
"We're planning some exciting things for later in the year that will allow us to give back a bit of the love and celebrate with all of our friends and supporters, so watch this space!"

Yas Bean opened on Buxton Road in August 2021, having started life as a food truck on the carpark of Tytherington Family Worship Church the previous year.
In 2024, Mika and Dan opened a second site, Yas Hatch, a stone's throw from Macclesfield station.
Today, Yas Bean is more than just a place to grab coffee.
It has become an integral part of the community, highlighted by the success of their monthly Stride of Pride walks.

The Muddy Stileto Awards are voted for by the public, with more than 500,000 votes cast nationally, over an eight-week period.
A spokesperson for the awards said: "Now in their 12th year, we've always proudly run the Muddy Awards free for all businesses to take part and it's still as thrilling as ever to shine a light on brilliant lifestyle indies that make our lives so much more fun and vibrant."
Also in the running to be named Cheshire's best café was Just Between Friends in Wilmslow, Neki Café in Knutsford, Nook & Cranny in Alderley Edge and Tatton Perk in Knutsford.
Yas Bean has been automatically entered into the national finals, with the 'Best of the Best' winners to be announced on June 25, 2025.
