Macclesfield's nearest other town is encouraging locals to get involved in local politics.
Bollington Town Council is hosting a day-long event of councillors appearing at local venues.
Town Councillors will appear at pubs, public service venues and cafés to answer questions about what it is like to represent the town as a councillor.
It is to make more people come forward to stand in this spring's local elections, which will take place on May 5.
The drop-in sessions will take place across Bollington at the venues listed above from 10am to 8pm.
Those interested in standing for election should register their interest by April 4.

Along with this public access to local democracy with this event, the council is keen to champion the council's future.
Last week, they launched the Bollington Youth Council which sees teens and kids as young as ten getting involved in debating the big issues.
