A 'cherished' charity event has been cancelled.

East Cheshire Hospice has announced that this year's Pie & Pint event will not go ahead.

This decision comes amid a low number of sign-ups.

A statement released by the hospice read: "Unfortunately we've made the difficult decision to have to cancel the upcoming Pie & Pint on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

"This decision hasn't been easy.

"Pie & Pint is a cherished event in our hospice calendar, and we know how much it means to many of you.

"However, due to low sign-up numbers, it's simply not feasible to go ahead this year.

"Thank you to those who did sign up - your support means the world to us.

"We do hope to see you at one of our future events, where we can come together again to support East Cheshire Hospice."

Emails have been sent to those who had signed up with further information about the cancellation.
