Community comes together to save village pub

Villagers have come together to save their local pub.
The St Dunstan's Inn in Langley is now officially a community-owned business.
It follows months of uncertainty surrounding the pub's long-term future.
A post shared to the venue's Facebook on Thursday, April 2, reads: "We've done it! Saved the St Dunstan's Inn!
"Our incredible community has come together to secure the future of our wonderful local pub.
"A massive thank you to our loyal customers, shareholders, committee members, and everyone who believed in this journey - this simply wouldn't have been possible without you.
"Because of you, the pub is now safe for at least the next 10 years!
"This is more than saving a pub — it's a powerful win for our whole community.
"And we're only just getting started… Celebrations are on the way, and we can't wait to raise a glass with you all this Easter weekend.
"See you in the pub!"
St Dunstan's Inn was put up for sale in 2025, prompting local residents to setup the Save the St Dunstan campaign.
Their aim? A community buyout - giving neighbours, businesses and the wider community the opportunity to collectively own the pub.
When the previous owners departed, a team of volunteers took over the running of the pub in a caretaking capacity until the purchase could be completed.
Now, that goal has been achieved.
