A Macclesfield mural of the Britpop band Oasis is to be removed within days.

Proper Sound, located on 8 Chestergate, opened in winter 2021.

The left window allowed shoppers and drinkers in the store and bar to pose for a picture inside Oasis' 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe.

In a statement the independent Macclesfield business said: "We are saying goodbye to our iconic Oasis album window seat.

"This is the last week to check it out and enjoy a drink within the album as we are getting ready for refurbishments."

Macclesfield Nub News will cover the renovations when complete. Proper Sound recently celebrated their first anniversary.
