A 1980s and 1990s themed karaoke bar is coming to Macclesfield.

DUKEBOX BAR will open in Duke's Court in the coming weeks.

The name of the over 21s bar is a pun on the location, and a jukebox, referencing the retro karaoke vibes the new Macclesfield business promises to bring.

It will be the fifth unit and second bar for Macclesfield business owner Kyle Frost (21), from the Weston estate.

"I plan to open an authentic and unique eighties and nineties karaoke bar, in what was previously known as Thirsty Beak, he said.

"Our venue has a top of the range jukebox system which has been designed to function the 'DUKEBOX' way. YOUR NIGHT will have your choice of music. It will also have a photo booth option. Name another venue within Macclesfield which has this uniqueness!

"We'll be open Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. We plan on providing danceable and singable nights, with a late night licence until 3:30am.

"We plan for it to be over 21s only, so it feels like an authentic night out for them. As you know, when you go elsewhere within Macclesfield it is full of the younger generation. Which for some, like with my mum and dad, it can put people off from having a good time.

"It also helps each bar in Duke's Court have a different vibe. We all want to make this more of a hotspot for Macclesfield's nightlife. Throughout the week and weekend we want to be known for having a licence until 3:30am.

"A lot of late night bars are now run by the same big companies, the feeling is the same anywhere you go. But each bar in Duke's Court they're all ran by a local businessmen with a different concept for each.

"I'm excited for DUKEBOX to be another part of that the unique nature Duke's Court has."

After the opening of Melrose Avenue and Remedy Bar and Kitchen, DUKEBOX will be the third and final bar to open in Duke's Court within three months.

Kyle also owns the bar NO. 8 DUKES, which soared in popularity from the start of last year. The success of NO. 8 will help fund DUKEBOX, and create a sister company for NO. 8 DUKES.

DUKEBOX will be Kyle's sixth venture in the courtyard just off've Mill Street. Kyle also owns beauty businesses TOTAL AESTHETICS, TOTAL TANNING and TOTAL TRAINING ACADEMY, also situated in Duke's Court.

The good news continues, as the Macclesfield entrepreneur has also just taken on the old Scents & Sassology unit in Duke's Court, to expand TOTAL TANNING with two more sunbeds and treatment rooms, creating two more beauty therapist spaces to rent for Macclesfield beauticians.

His company TOTAL AESTHETICS has also grown, with the addition of laser hair and tattoo removal.

DUKEBOX will bring two extra jobs to Macclesfield, for which you can express your interest for here.

DUKEBOX's smart jukebox can be operated by your smartphone, making picking the song of your choice incredibly easy.

The venue will be open for private party events from Monday to Thursday, when they are not open. And the best part? It will be free of charge to rent for five hours, if you bring a party of 20 people.

"We want to bring back eighties-style cocktails and drinks, they'll be lots of Madonna, lots of Kylie, and a different vibe that Maclesfield doesn't currently have in terms of nightlife," Kyle added.
