Charity Battle of the Bands

The Macclesfield band who wins this Battle of the Bands contest at Mash Guru will get to play before a local music legend.

Winner of the 5 Back Wallgate contest will win a support slot with Peter Hook & The Light at Party in the Pews 2022.

There are two round of Battles of the bands taking place at our after party venue Mash Guru. The first is Feb 5th kicking off at 7pm. And YOU get to decide the winner.

Entry is suggested donation of £3 to The Christie Macclesfield. The first competitors are Bugeye, Bingo Harry, and The Borgias.

Eco Pub Quiz

ONE Project - the green space good cause from Macclesfield - are hosting a fundraising pub quiz.

It will take place on Sunday.

The quiz will be held at The Plough Inn on Prestbury Road. You can find more info here.

Pie and a Pint Walk

You have until 12pm on Friday to register for a charity hike for East Cheshire Hospice. They'll be a pie and a pint at the end of it for the Macclesfield good cause. Register here. You could in theory still go if you have missed the deadline and some of your friends or family are going, but there is no guaranteed refreshments at the end of it, and you really should make a donation to the Millbank Drive good cause.

Bike Ride

For families with older children or those who are still itching to shed off those Christmas pounds, Macc Wheels are hosting a leisurely bike ride this Sunday. The mostly-flat three hour ride will begin at Macclesfield Town Hall from 9:15am. find more info here.
