Eight men charged in connection with series of car thefts and burglaries

Eight men have been charged in connection with a series of car and key burglaries across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
On Thursday 9 July, more than 100 officers from Cheshire Police and Greater Manchester Police executed nine warrants at homes across Wythenshawe leading to the arrest of seven men.
An eighth suspect was arrested at 9.45pm on Wednesday, July 8, following a pursuit in Salford.
Following questioning, all eight men have now been charged with conspiring to commit a burglary dwelling with intent to steal and conspiring to steal motor vehicles.
The charges relate to an investigation into over 20 burglaries of homes across Cheshire and Greater Manchester between May 2026 and June 2026.
These include addresses in Macclesfield, Trafford, Stockport and Wythenshawe.
All eight men have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday, July 11.
