An eight-year-old girl has raised hundreds for a very special cause.

Annalise Bourne did something most children would never dream of, sell her beloved toys.

In doing so she helped to raise £600 for #TeamHaslerMND, a GoFundMe set up to support Dean Valley teacher Rob Hasler following his Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis.

Annalise couldn't have done it without the support of the local community, with Tytherington FC and One Project Macclesfield both playing their part.

Her mum, Vikki Bourne, said: "It was a real community effort!

"The lovely acts of kindness from friends and even strangers arriving with donations made up for the lady that promised she'd return with money for teddy bears she took but never came back.

"And just lots of local families coming to buy bears and toys and boost her total to a huge £600!

"Thank you supporting one little girl trying to make a difference, and most importantly, thank you for supporting a hugely important fundraiser for a local family who need the support of their community."

Annalise set up shop outside her house on Coniston Way on Monday (April 14).

All of the remaining toys were purchased by Matt O'Brien from Tytherington FC, the club where Annalise's dad coaches and whom her brother Ray, 10, plays for.

The toys were then passed on to One Project Macclesfield.

Kate Ellis, founder of the community store, said: "The OPM team wanted to say a huge thank you to the little queen, Annalise.

"Not only has she raised a super impressive £600 for #TeamHaslerMND but she has also donated all her pre-loved teddies to our community store.

"Matt O'Brien kindly sponsored all the teddies to come to OPM, what an absolute legend.

"Personally, I am very lucky to know Annalise as she is a very good friend of my son Quinn.

"She is fantastic and spent a few days with her stall raising these vital funds with the support of her mum Vikki Bourne.

"A true community super star, keep being you Annalise."
