Not one but two brand new retirement developments in Macclesfield are set to be showcased to potential homeowners at a special event next month

The Discovery Week for Kings Scholars Court and John Percyvale Court will be held at Kings Scholars Court, on Coare Street in Macclesfield, giving a flavour of the retirement living on offer.

The event will take place from Tuesday December 13 to Thursday December 15. It is hosted by McCarthy Stone, who are bringing the two new facilities to our town.

The event will feature one-to-one appointments giving visitors the opportunity to discover more about both developments, which are currently under construction and are set to welcome their first occupants from the summer of 2023.

Visitors can take a look at plans and apartment specifications, ask the McCarthy Stone team any questions they have, and learn more about pricing and flexible occupancy options including outright purchase, rental or part-buy part-rent.

Family and friends are welcome to attend too, and light refreshments will be served.

Places are limited so those wishing to attend are invited to reserve a place in advance by calling 0800 882 1829 or visiting this link.

The event runs from 11am to 4pm on each of the three days.

Louise Flynn, Divisional Marketing Manager for McCarthy Stone, explained: "We've already had great interest in both developments and this event is a further opportunity for us to roll out the red carpet and welcome prospective homeowners to discover more about what it will be like to live at Kings Scholars Court and John Percyvale Court.

"Both developments offer a chance to downsize and be part of a new, lively community where they will be around like-minded people, and truly get the most from their retirement years. We would urge anyone interested to book in as soon as they can to secure their place at the Discovery Week event."

Thirty-one one-bed and 30 two-bedroom properties are being created at John Percyvale Court, a Retirement Plus development providing the ideal location for over-70s who can get tailored support when needed while still maintaining their independence. Kings Scholars Court is aimed at the over-60s who can choose from 11 one-bedroom and 20 two-bedroom properties.

The developments will include a communal lounge hosting regular events; well-maintained, attractively landscaped gardens; and a hotel-style guest suite where friends and family can stay overnight. John Percyvale Court will also house a bistro where residents and their guests can enjoy freshly-cooked meals. Peace of mind is assured through state-of-the-art security measures and the presence of staff on-site 24/7.
