One of the highlights of the Maxonian calendar is just days away.

Macc Beer Fest 2026 looks set to be a special one, as the charity event celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Festivalgoers can look forward to tasting more than 100 beers, accompanied by live music from the likes of Space, Chris Helme and Toploader.

James Hogben, speaking on behalf of the Macclesfield Beer Festival Committee and Macclesfield Round Table, said: "This year's event promises to be one of our best yet, with a strong live music lineup, over 100 beers, great food, and plenty of entertainment for families.

"When the festival first began 30 years ago, we offered around 40 beers. Seeing that grow to more than 100, and even being able to bring back some of the original brews, really shows how far the event has come.

"We've had quite a few people asking whether it's really the original artists performing, and I'm pleased to confirm that acts such as Toploader and Chris Helme are the genuine headline performers, not tribute acts.

"We know many people have been coming year after year, and this anniversary is a chance to look back on three decades of great memories while raising vital funds for local charities.

"We're incredibly grateful to everyone who's supported the festival over the years, especially our volunteers and sponsors without them, none of this would be possible."

Macc Beer Fest will once again be held at Macclesfield Rugby Club on Priory Lane.

It will be split into three sessions over Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9.

This includes a family-friendly daytime session on the Saturday that is free to enter.

There will be a number of food vendors in attendance, including Wood Fire Smoke, Whats Your Beef Burgers, Just Gyros, and Dim Sum Su.

The music lineup also features Snowdrop, DJ Osci, Dominic Paul, and Karamba.
