A village hotel is looking to 'futureproof' with a new manager at the helm.

Liz Howarth has been announced as the new general manager of The Bridge Prestbury.

Having taken the reins just before Christmas, Liz has wasted no time in making her mark.

She said: "I am thrilled to be part of The Bridge Prestbury.

"The team here has been outstanding, and I'm excited to continue building on the legacy of excellence that The Bridge is known for.

"Together with Condor Hotels, we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead, delivering exceptional experiences for our guests."

Condor Hotels took over The Bridge at the start of 2024 after the previous owners, Flat Cap Hotels, entered administration.

In July, following a successful six-month trial period, Condor announced they had extended their contract and would oversee the Grade II-listed building until at least 2027.

Yvonne Jackson, CEO of Condor Hotels, said at the time: ‍"We're thrilled that Condor has secured a longer term of management for these prestigious properties.

"We aim to futureproof the venues, providing excellent hospitality and supporting the staff as we navigate new successes with our leadership."

‍Liz's appointment reinforces Condor Hotels' commitment to futureproofing The Bridge's status as a premier food and beverage bolthole.

She arrives with a deep knowledge of the hospitality industry and experience in leadership.

Under her management, the hotel and restaurant which dates back to the 17th century will look to enhance its offerings.
