A farm near Macclesfield which invites the public in for seasonal attractions has a new attraction.

Libby's Patch in Gawsworth, already known for welcoming the community to pick pumpkins and Christmas trees on their size, now has a maize maze for summer 2023.

"We planted the maze so we could have a longer extended season," said Farmer Daniel Thornicroft.

"We planned a sunflower maze, but that didn't come through due to the June heatwave.

"But we still have the maize maze, where we have fun and games as well as on-site refreshments.

"With the maize mazes we have planted a pick your own sweetcorn patch teaching kids where your food comes from.

"The sweetcorn will be ready in a week's time. And the wordsearch inside the maze can be played now.

"You book online. Children below the age of six go free, it is £2.50 for six-to-sixteen year-olds, and for those over the age of 16 it is a fiver.

"With that you get your entry to the maize, sweetcorn and unlimited returns for the summer holidays. So you can come back for more days out.
