A new Indian restaurant is opening in Macclesfield.

Amazing India looks set to open on Pickford Street, taking over the former site of Masala Spoon.

Posters have gone up in the windows, advertising a 'fine dining Indian restaurant' which is 'under new management'.

It also states there will be live music and a party hall.

While no official opening date has been given, the posters do state the restaurant will be 'opening soon'.

Masala Spoon closed towards the end of 2024.

Last month, foreclosure notice dated March 6 went up in the window of the restaurant, located at 2-5 Marlborough Court on Pickford Street.

It read: "This property has been foreclosed upon and is now under the ownership of Selmar Properties Ltd.

"All previous occupants must vacate the premises immediately."

The notice continues, stating that no trespassing is allowed and that unauthorised entry is 'strictly prohibited'

"Any attempt to re-enter or occupy this property without permission will result in legal action," the sign read.

Amazing India UK Limited was officially incorporated on February 20, 2025.

According to Companies House, the nature of business is a licensed restaurant, take-away food shop and mobile food stand.
