Home security firm relocates from Bollington to residential area of Macclesfield

A home and business security firm has relocated across the Macclesfield area.
Total Security Experts has moved from Bollington to Bollinbrook.
The CCTV and alarm installers are now located on Westminster Road, just two doors down from another new opening R&Rs Café.
Macclesfield Nub News met with Total Security Experts Sales Director Ashley Hamp to find out more.
"We moved primarily as we wanted a shopfront presence," said Ashley.
Primarily we are not a shop as such, but there's an opportunity for people to walk in, come chat to us and demonstrate the products.
"It also works as a billboard for people driving past. The thing about security is it is quite a spontaneous thing, people tend to get security because something has happened.
"They might have been burgled, it might have been their neighbour or a family member.
"We felt like having a high street-type presence was worthwhile."
"We're a five-year-old business, we have also just renamed from Total Home Experts to Total Security Experts.
"We specialise in domestic and small business CCTV, alarms, and video doorbells. We also do TV wall mounting and networking.
"Video doorbells are huge now. I don't see why everyone doesn't have a video doorbell.
"I believe everyone should have a video doorbell. It is the first line of defence for any property. Most homes in the UK tend to be semi-detached properties, with a drive at the front, and a video doorbell can keep an eye on their car, people coming in, people at the door when they are out so they can speak to the person.
"60% of what we do is CCTV. It can be as simple or complicated as you like.
"All CCTV now allows you notification to your phone. You can playback on your phone.
"Alarm systems are much more than just an alarm, they can do leak defence, operate your garage doors and turn your lights on and off and so much more"
They used to be located in Clarence Mill, but now their Westminster Road premises gives them more visibility to passing traffic and pedestrians.
They want to work with customers within a ten miles radius. They have a sale on until the end of March, and are rated five-stars on TrustPilot and Checkatrade.
Ashley has lived in Bollington for 22 years. He is one of five staff who work at Total Security Experts.
As well as selling equipment, if someone comes to them struggling to install kit they have bought from the internet, they will also offer that service.
"The advancements in security technology in recent years is amazing," explained Ashley.
"CCTV can recognise faces, it can number count [for footfall in shops], you can isolate areas within your business to see where you are doing the most trade.
"It is an incredibly useful tool, not just in security but how the business works.
"Also an interesting point, with CCTV classically over the years you would have to go through 30 to 40 days of recordings, that is not necessary anymore as you can get instant notifications to your phone that show activity. You can look at it, isolate it and save it straight to your phone. This means you can email it or WhatsApp it to someone in an instant."
