Hospital staff scaling new heights to fund waiting room refurbishment

Hospital staff are scaling new heights to fund a new waiting area.
A team of 15 colleagues from Macclesfield District General Hospital's radiology department are preparing to hike up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) on Saturday, July 5.
They will be doing so to help raise money to make improvements to the existing waiting area, creating a better experience for patients.
This will include cosmetic improvements, additional changing facilities and a better seating area.
Melanie Hurst, cross sectional imaging assistant in the radiology department, said: "Your generous support will allow us to create a more patient-friendly space, making each visit as comfortable and positive as possible.
"The team is dedicated to making the best of this activity and are hoping to raise as much as possible.
"We are all very excited to be part of the hike and will be completing it in our own time with our patients comfort and wellbeing in mind."

The radiology department seek to provide the highest quality diagnostic imaging and patient care with the use of advanced imaging technologies such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
These techniques diagnose and monitor a wide variety of medical conditions, ensuring that patients receive the most accurate and timely treatments possible.
They also play a crucial role in detecting diseases early, guiding treatments, and improving overall patient outcomes.
