The UK's most picturesque beer festival is here.

Wincle Beer Festival is back for its ninth year and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Preparations are well underway ahead of opening day on Friday (July 4) and Giles Meadows, owner of Wincle Brewery, can't wait to welcome everyone.

He said: "Every year the team and I take a look at our festival and how we can make it even better than the year before.

"In 2019 we were voted as one of the most picturesque breweries in the UK to host a beer festival; and we constantly endeavour to live up to that."

On what to expect from this year's festival, Giles said: "Our enormous beer tent is sat in the middle of the field in front of the brewery; and with clear sided panes it means that whether the weather - sunny, gloomy or rainy; people can take in the glorious environment that we are lucky enough to brew in.

"The fields around the brewery come alive with people camping or glamping and the family led atmosphere is joyous.

"This year we have a number of new music acts, such as Vox Americana and Smugglin' budgies, and also a number of new food vendors - all local who know how to wow a crowd with their culinary skills' such as Wood, Fire, Smoke Pizza, Cheddleton Oatcakes, Nasi Lemak Thai and Foxy food co."
