Warning from hospital trust as main access road to A&E to close for essential works

Patients will have to use a temporary entrance for A&E this weekend.
The main access road to the emergency department at Macclesfield District General Hospital will be undergoing essential tarmac resurfacing on Saturday (July 5).
East Cheshire NHS Trust has confirmed that access to A&E will be via an alternative route, indicated on the map below.
A statement on the trust's website reads: "During the works the contractor will have traffic management in place on the entry point from Victoria Road to maintain traffic flow and also signage both on the day and prior to advise on changes to access during this date.
"Any queries/issues whilst works are taking place can be directed to switchboard on 01625 421000 who will then contact the Estates on call manager.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause."

During the closure, no parking will be permitted from the bus stop end to the zebra crossing in front of the emergency department.
The electric vehicle charging stations will also be out of service on both Friday (July 4) and Saturday.
However, all disabled parking adjacent to the outpatients entrance will still be available for use.
Meanwhile, the renal car parking spaces will be out of use due to the area being required for vehicle turning space.
