'I loved every minute' - Macclesfield octogenarian completes 22nd London Marathon

An octogenarian from Macclesfield has completed his 22nd London Marathon.
Macclesfield Harriers club legend Harry Newton was the oldest person to take part in this year's TCS London Marathon on Sunday, April 26.
The 88-year-old completed the 26.2-mile course in a time of seven hours, 53 minutes and 59 seconds.
Upon finishing the race, Harry said: "I had a bit of pain here and there but despite the pain, I loved every minute
"With my name on my top, everyone knew who I was!"
Sunday's race was the 22nd time Harry has completed the London Marathon, his first time being in 1995, age 57.
More than a dozen members of Harry's family travelled down to the capital to cheer him on as he raised money for the British Heart Foundation.
Speaking previously, Harry said: "Coronary heart disease remains the single biggest killer worldwide.
"I want to support the British Heart Foundation in their research and in the work they do to help people."
