Greene King has shared a statement following the closure of two pubs in Macclesfield.
The Butley Ash on London Road and the Rising Sun on Congleton Road both served their final pints over the weekend.
The closures are understood to be part of the pub chain's 'typical annual business activity'.
A spokesperson said: "Following a period of team member consultation, we can confirm that the Butley Ash and Rising Sun have now closed.
"We are grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years, and we look forward to welcoming them into our other pubs in the surrounding area soon."
The Butley Ash confirmed its closure following service on Friday, April 24.
A Facebook post shared by the venue reads: "This isn't something we ever imagined saying, and it's hard to put into words just how gutted we all feel that this chapter has come to an end.
"The Butley Ash has been more than just a place to eat and drink — it's been a space filled with laughter, memories, friendships, and community.
"We want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who has walked through our doors, supported us, shared special moments here, and made it what it was. Your custom, loyalty, and kindness have meant everything to us.
"While it's incredibly difficult to say goodbye, we're choosing to look ahead to new adventures and opportunities, carrying with us all the amazing memories we've created together."
The Rising Sun then opened for the final time on Saturday, April 25.
Greene King say they have worked with team members at the two pubs to find alternative roles at other venues 'where possible'.
