An Asian street food stall at Macclesfield's indoor market has shut for good.

2C9 at Macclesfield Market Hall has announced its closure, with immediate effect.

The decision comes just over two years after the business was launched by friends Tammy Cheng and Lavina Sze.

A post on the eatery's Facebook page read: "We've closed down.

"Thank you for all your amazing support.

"It's been a wonderful journey and we're truly grateful for everyone who's been part of it."

Tammy and Lavina, have been friends for over 30 years.

In 2022, the pair moved to Macclesfield with their families.

The following year, they decided to go into business together as a way of sharing their favourite dishes with the local community.

Sadly, after just over two years of trading, they announced the stall's immediate closure in the early hours of Sunday, October 26.

*UPDATE*

Macclesfield Market Hall have since confirmed that the stall has actually just changed name and is open as usual.

It is now known as Little Bliss Asian Eats.

A spokesperson said: "We are happy to report that this is a simple mis communication that 2C9 has just changed its name and will be open as usual Tuesday to Saturday."

Hi Thanks for this story but I would suggest you do a little more investigation work as the stall has no closed, just rebranded with a different name and some management changes.

This article is extremely misleading
