This week, we a spotlight a Freelance Community Engagement Co-ordinator role at Macclesfield Museums.

Following their re-opening earlier this month, a three-month vacancy has opened to celebrate our town's Silk heritage.
The successful Freelance Community Engagement Co-ordinator will help test ways of developing Macc Museum's audiences and partnerships with communities.
They will build connections with underserved communities; help people feel a connection to the museum; and make opportunities for creative commissions across a range of media.
This Co-ordinator will bring experience in:
- connecting with local groups and networks to develop new partnerships
- engaging with local people and groups by:
– Reducing disadvantage and isolation
– Strengthening skills and experience through volunteering and other opportunities– Consulting with communities so that their ideas and views inform our plans
- making new connections with creativity and heritage
- communicating with local people through social media and other means
- capturing data and evaluating initiatives to develop an evidence base to help fundraising opportunities
