The under-construction Barracks Mill retail park off Black Lane is aiming to be ready by December 2022 / early 2023.

It appears American fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) are coming to Macclesfield.

After being rumoured to be coming to the Barracks Mill Retail Park for years, and after being listed as a potential location in January, there is now more concrete evidence they are opening in our town.

This is because the Colonel is advertising for jobs at a site at a location in Macclesfield, despite the company not explicitly announcing it yet.

The job listings describe the new KFC being located on Black Lane, which is where the new retail park is situated.

The first of the two positions are Team Member roles (it is unknown how many will be hired), promising up to £9.50 per hour. These can be part-time or full time positions.

There is also a Team Manager role for one lucky applicant, with a salary to be discussed.

KFC have been contacted for comment.

Other new stores coming to the retail park near 'big Tesco' are B&M, Costa, M&S Food, The Gym and BP Pulse.
