KFC aren't ruling out opening a site in Macclesfield.

This follows a Macclesfield Nub News request for comment, after many of our readers claimed rumours that the fried chicken chain were interested in opening in our town.

In a recent Macclesfield Nub News Facebook post in 'The Original Macc Chat', about our Petition launched for Nando's to open in Macclesfield article, there were five comments wishing for KFC to be the chicken fast food outlet coming to our town instead.

Two even suggested a location, that KFC was coming 'off the Silk Road' or at 'Barracks Mill'.

So we thought chase these rumours and see if the American eatery is opening a site on the 78,000 sq. ft. Barracks Mill development.

Speaking exclusively with Macclesfield Nub News, a KFC Spokesperson said: "Hold your horses – nothing's confirmed yet but we're always on the lookout for new sites.

"Watch this space!"

While it is not an outright confirmation, the lack of denial has hinted that lovers of their 11 herbs and spices could be getting their chops around KFC's chicken in Macclesfield very soon.

The under-construction Barracks Mill retail park off've Black Lane is aiming to be ready by December 2022 / early 2023.

There have been already has multiple stores confirmed, and KFC, if confirmed, could be the fourth.

These are Aldi, Costa, and M&S Simply Food.

All three of which, were confirmed by Macclesfield Nub News first. So make sure you follow us to keep up to speed on what is to come to Macclesfield and whether KFC is confirmed to arrive at Barracks Mill.
