Macclesfield: Boy assaulted in broad daylight in South Park

Police are asking for information after a 12-year-old lad was attacked by a gang of youths.

At around 5.30pm on Tuesday 18 January police were called to reports of an altercation between a group of teenagers at South Park, Macclesfield.

The caller reported that at around 3.30pm that day a 12-year-old boy was walking through the park with his friend when he was approached by three youths who assaulted him.

The teenager was taken to hospital as a precaution and released later that night.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information which may aid the investigation is asked to contact Cheshire police at this webpage, or on 101, quoting IML1180741.
