Macclesfield 37-year-old stabbed in town centre

An adult was stabbed in the early hours this morning.

At around 1am on Thursday 29 June, officers responded to reports of a stabbing in Macclesfield. 

Officers attended the scene on Waters Green, Macclesfield, and found a 37-year-old man with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries to the stomach.

He has since been taken to hospital for further treatment.

As precautionary measure, a cordon was established and was later lifted at 12.24pm.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing.
