Macclesfield: Another Lusso planning application just days after hot tub approval
It looks like there could be more change set for Lusso Macclesfield.
The Craven House apartment block has applied for more change on Churchill Way.
Plans have been submitted to Cheshire East Council for a "Conversion of ground floor former post office unit to form four. hot food retail units and three apartments, including new retractable canopy and pavement seating areas."
The three new flats will be one bedroom each.
Little details on the commercial units have been given, however, the application form states that eight full-time jobs would be created.
The hours of operation would be 8am to 6pm, which could mean a daytime breakfast and lunch food vendor is preferred as opposed to an evening restaurant one.
Seats could be outside the new food outlets, and the Royal Mail postbox, which is the only relic relating to the Post Office's pre-existing purpose, is set to remain under these plans.
The submission of the planning application comes just nine days after their last one was approved.
Two more flats and a hot tub planning application was approved on Valentine's Day.
And on Friday February 23, this new planning application was submitted.
Craven House went up for sale in 2015, and was then sold to Wilmslow-based Huntsmere by Greenham Commercial. Huntsmere then opened Stay Lusso in September 2021.
The Post Office part of the building was listed for auction for £400,000 - £500,000 in 2022.
LBH Macclesfield Ltd have been listed as the applicant, but no email or phone number can be found for the company on Google for Macclesfield Nub News to contact.
Lusso have been contacted for comment.
The full plans can be read HERE.
Macclesfield residents have until March 15 to get their comments in.
