A Macclesfield eatery is celebrating their first anniversary.

All Things Nice Macclesfield, opened a year ago this week on Chestergate's east side.

The café, bar and deli is an expansion of a business which started in Marple, and opened a second site in Macclesfield 12 months ago.

Tom Norris, co-owner of All Things Nice Macclesfield, sat down with Macclesfield Nub News to reflect on the past year.

"Time flies when you are having fun", said Tom.

"On the whole we've loved it, especially guest wise, it has been amazing. We have been received well by the community, this site was previously a café that was here a long time, so there was always a challenge to win everyone over.

"You are going to get people that were regulars at the old place, and you are not going to keep everyone, but we feel we have converted a lot of the old regulars in to the new regulars for us which we are very happy with. We also feel we have brought a lot of new people in as well.

"The bakery is going really well, with all our homemade cakes and pastries. Our strongest trade though is breakfast and brunch.

"Particularly when it gets to lunchtime, every day is full.

"And now we are cracking our way in to the evening dinner scene in Macclesfield really.

"We get a lot of great feedback on the dinner menu, which we have on Friday and Saturday nights.

"The challenge now is to let people know that we offer that too."

Tom co-owns the business with Nick Garner, who would also like to extend their gratitude to the Macclesfield community for their support.

For the rest of 2023, new items will be added to their menu, such as winter warmers like Cottage Pie.

But many of the new menu items are kept under wraps for now, so you'll just have to head soon down to find out.

The business, located on 10 Chestergate, is part of an upmarket gastro revolution going on in Macclesfield town centre.

"We'd like to say a big thank you to the people of Macclesfield for receiving us so well", added Tom.

"They've been very friendly, loads of people are coming in saying 'This is what Macclesfield has needed for ages, thanks for opening up here'.

"We'd like to say thanks back for coming in and supporting us as a small independent place. And long may it continue!"

In the middle of November, their evening menu will become a Festive menu.

They also have a 'Grab + Go' menu for the busy bee that doesn't have time to eat in, but still wants quality, freshly-made lunch. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

This will feature Yuletide sharing boards.

You can also construct the ultimate roast dinner with three types of meat, with bread or cranberry source all made from scratch.

They are even doing a special offer for Christmas evening bookings.

"Everyone who has organised a Christmas party knows how stressful it can be," stated Tom.

Families and businesses are encouraged to book with them for a Christmas party, and they will get a £20 voucher they can spend on their next visit to All Things Nice Macclesfield. Ask in-store for more details. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

"So for Christmas evening menu parties of six or above, the organiser will get a £20 voucher which they can use all-year round."
