Small businesses across Macclesfield have come together amid the cost of living crisis to raise money for victims of the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
23 Macclesfield and Bollington businesses have donated prizes which are to be raffled off early next month, to raise money to help families affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
From just £5 per entry, you could win prizes that are valued at over ten times that.
Prizes include £30 earrings from Alison Stairmand Jewellery, a lunch voucher for No. 74 Deli in Bollington, and a freshly-baked dome cake valued at £55 from Cakes that Mel Makes.
The prize draw was the idea of Macclesfield photographer Anna Hornby, who has also donated a prize being a photoshoot with her photography brand @folkandtale.
"I used to work as a fundraiser for a charity, but it has been a while since I've done some fundraising," said Anna.
"However there was something about this earthquake that particularly resonated with me. Perhaps as it was one thing after another, after another.
"I kept putting myself in the shoes of those affected. The fact they were just going about their day and suddenly their apartment buildings have collapsed and lives changed forever.
"I'm a mum myself and to hear stories of mothers pushing their children out of the rubble and children waiting to be rescued, I knew I had to do something.
"I put on my Instagram story that I wanted to do a fundraiser, and a lot of people got in touch with prizes to donate. Thank you to everyone that has, and those who donate, things are really tough right now too in the UK."
Other prizes include a two-month membership to Lucie Platt Yoga valued at £50, and a signed copy of Macclesfield novelist Susan Earlam's eco-horror book Earthly Bodies.
There's also a full consultation, assessment and osteopathy treatment worth £70 with Well Beings, Alderley Park. North and Flower plus Chestergate gift shop Loola Loves have also entered.
"I don't have a lot of money to donate myself right now, so I thought a crowdfunder with a prize at the end of it would encourage people to take part, especially as there's a high chance of winning a gift as well," added Anna.
"I chose the funds to go to Choose Love as they are doubling donations at the moment and supporting different partners on the ground, spreading donations where they really need to be."
There has been over 60 people entered so far, so there's roughly a one-in-three chance that you could win a prize. You can increase your odds by buying more entries.
A whopping £1395 has been raised so far, with a goal of £2000 required by the raffle's March 4 deadline.
