Macclesfield charities will benefit from a pub quiz this Thursday.

Macclesfield Roundtable has organised 'The Post Valentine Quiz Night' on behalf of The Mayor's Charity and The Windyway Trust.

It will be held at Macclesfield's Packhorse Bowling & Social Club, on Abbey Lane.

The quiz starts at 8pm, this Thursday February 17.

It is Macc Roundtable's first fundraising pub quiz of 2022, and their first since December.

"Last time we raised over 700 quid in one evening which was amazing," said James Hogben of Macclesfield Roundtable.

"We hosted one just before Christmas and the quizmaster was so brilliant so we planned to do it again from 8pm this Thursday.

"It is great fun, everyone had a laugh and we managed to pack out The Pack Horse Club out which is good."

Entry is £3 per person, and there is a maximum team size of eight.

There will be prizes for the winner, but also for second, third and last-placed teams.

There will also be a charity raffle for the Macclesfield good causes.

After the success of the last quiz night in December, it is recommend to book tables early to avoid disappointment!

For tables book direct with the Packhorse Bowling and Social Club on 01625 614 706.

The Mayor of Macclesfield will also take part in Thursday evening's quiz, and Macclesfield Nub News' Editor Alexander Greensmith will also enter.

In a call to action for more teammates, Macclesfield Mayor and Tytherington resident Cllr David Edwardes said: "Question:?... and rain. Question: curds and...? and Question: whose..?...is it. Mine's a pint!

Question: Manchester City are top of the....? Got it? "You definitely qualify to come to our humungous Quiz Night! My biographer Alex and I will be in a team of, well, 2 so far. Anybody join our team?" You can find more about Thursday's quiz night by clicking the link here. You can also follow Macclesfield Roundtable on Facebook.
