What's on in Macclesfield this weekend? Here's four events that we recommend...

1. Neonino

One for families with small kids. A colourful boogie will take place on Saturday from 1-4pm.

Organiser Vanessa Day said: "Neonino is a neon and UV indoor festival which is fun for all the time. With a mix of Bounce, D'n'B and Old School house genres being played live from well known and up and coming DJ's"

"This event will be raising and donating money from ticket sales towards our sponsor charity, Spoons (Reg Charity No. 1167043), [who provide Neonatal family support]."

The organisers have held previous events in Pott Shrigley and Hurdsfield. Get your tickets here.

2. Adlington Hall Spring Opening

Adlington Mill Lane country house Adlington Hall are letting int he spring season in style this weekend.

They are open from open from 2pm – 5pm on Sunday 20 February, costing £6 for adults and kids go free.

Adlington Hall said: "For our first Seasonal Gardens Opening Events we will be opening the gates of Adlington Hall Gardens, for visitors to be able to enjoy the Snowdrops in and around the Estate. This is the first time in a number of years the gates will be open for visitors to see them in all their glory.

"For the first time ever, we are offering you the chance to take a 'piece' of the Adlington Hall Estate home with you. Our Head Gardener will be potting some of our lovely snowdrops, so they will be available to be purchased from the Entrance Desk for just £4.00 per pot."

3. Saturday Evening Classical Music

From 7:30pm on Saturday, the Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra Concert will host a concert under their conductor Anthony Houghton at St. Michael's Church.

They will welcome guest horn soloist George Strivens (pictured) who will play the Strauss Horn Concerto No 2. He'll also play three other works comprising of music by Brahms, Weber and Puccini.

The two hour concert costs £12, £2.50 (under 18) available online or from Margin Music and Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre on Market Place.

If you can't make Saturday, they'll perform the same show at Congleton Town Hall 24 hours later.

4. Baby Sale

Expecting a child? Or want some new items for your baby?

Macclesfield's All Hallows Catholic College will host a Boutique Baby sale this weekend.

Sunday's event at the Brooklands Avenue school will take place between 11:00am and 12:30pm.

Entrance is £2 and children go free. Find more info out here.
