An independent Macclesfield café has announced they are shutting down.

Acacia Tree, which served healthy juices and hot drinks from Chestergate's west side, are closing this week.

The small business confirmed the sad news on Instagram. And there is just a few days left for Macclesfield residents to enjoy what Acacia Tree has to offer.

"As some of you may know this Friday Acacia will be closing," they said.

"We're incredibly grateful for all the support we have been shown over the last few months, from people that come in regularly and new folks finding us. It's been a pleasure and we want to thank all of YOU.

"Watch this space to see what comes of Acacia and we'll see you soon, Chestergate."

The food and drink outlet launched in February 2021.

It is not known if a business is ready to take the place, but no to let or for sale listing has been found online for 125 Chestergate, as of yet, by Macclesfield Nub News.
